It’s raining beer! Oktoberfest is one of the world’s most famous festivals and is held yearly in one of Europe’s most spectacular cities. If you are planning on going to Europe Oktoberfest is not to be missed.

Since 1810 Bavarians and, indeed, visitors from all over the world have descended on Munich with one special interest in common…Beer. If you love your beer, you’ll find it at Oktoberfest, the worlds largest city fair with over 6 million visitors and 8.2 million liters of beer consumed during the course. And all the beer is used to wash down millions of sausage, BBQ’d chicken and more.

Dancing on the tables!? 10,000 people in one tent!? Only at Oktoberfest eh…

Day 1
Pick-Up at the Hauptbahnhof, Munich’s central train station. The city is electric with festival lovers from all over the world having descended on Munich for this annual rite. On arrival to the campsite we’ll get you settled, talk through some of the history and some fascinating stories and head downtown for an entertaining tour to get your bearings and appreciate the world-changing events this city has survived. A BBQ dinner is prepared around the campfire this evening and all your beers are complimentary.

Day 2
The Germans like their beer so much that the beer tents are open by 11:00 AM. It’s important to get there early to get a good place. After filling up on breakfast our guides will show you the ropes and introduce you to the hilarious traditions particular to each beer tent…The trumpets are flaring, the drums are rolling and it’s time to get amongst it. For fresh air, you can always take a peek outside at the world’s biggest fair!

Day 3
Today you have the choice to hit up the Oompah dancing and beer tents again or take a look around greater Munich. The Olympic tower and river surfing in the Englishergartens are sights not to miss. At the campsite you can try your artistic side with our paint on the graffiti board. Beer and Sangria are included at anytime while you are at the campsite and another BBQ dinner will be prepared tonight around the campfire.

Day 4
If you can’t stomach more beer you can relax at the campsite, take in the sights of central Munich or our guides will take you to the Dachau Concentration Camp Museum…..for those of you still addicted to Oktoberfest…the beer tents are just down the road afterall. Drop-offs this afternoon at the Muninch Central train station or a coach will be departing for Barcelona for those of you heading south.
