Surf Camp Spain

Print

If any European knows how to take it easy with style, it is the Spanish. Sunny days with a disregard for time, a nation-wide organized and regulated afternoon nap (siesta) and night-time fiestas in the S-Trip! Surf Shack.

The area offers a variety of surf conditions all within 5 minutes. Stunning cliff-top views, quaint coves, endless empty beaches and superb local seafood in the heart of the Cantabrian Coast. The location has been chosen as the local area offers year-round surfing with waves suitable to both beginners and experts. Famous surf-spot ‘santa marina’ is just down the road. Each night presents the option to party in local bars, socialize by the in-house bar or take the ferry across the bay to the clubs of central Santander.

Cruising the Spanish coast in search of the best wave… it’s a hard life!

Days 1-7
Pick-ups available any day from Santander Airport or central train station.

Surfing
We jump into the jeeps and head out to a vast array of point breaks, reefs or beach breaks depending your ability and the daily conditions. 2 hrs of lessons are available each day, use of the equipment is available whenever you please and an ever challenging plethora of wave-choices will keep you on your toes and improving.

The Accommodation
The S-Trip Santander Surf House is located 5 mins walk from the beach in the quaint beachside village, Somo. The house is a classic Spanish villa with large chill-out areas, an in-house bar, surf films & music constantly playing and a big Spanish terrace for daily BBQ’s.

Party
House parties, clubs and local bars are all nearby and are a must-do to experience the local lifestyle. The price of drinks is amongst the cheapest in Europe.

Food
Ricardo and Antonia are the masters of the kitchen. Whilst they are actually Italian, they have a great interest in local specialties, particularly seafood, and can cook to any preference of taste. Vegetarian meals available.

When not surfing?
Fishing, quad-biking, bike riding, Mountain trekking, cliff-diving and cave-swimming, snorkeling, Santander tapas and walking tour (optional), surf films.
